Hi, I’m Hannah — and I know this struggle all too well.

I started my VA business in 2017, securing my first 3 clients through random job applications. Excited and hopeful to grow this new business, I spent countless hours creating my website, starting a blog, and promoting my services on Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram.

I was sure that leads would start pouring in... but they didn't.

While listening to podcasts, I'd find myself daydreaming about working with the featured guests. But then, it hit me… My dream clients were never going to randomly stumble across my website, especially since I was still pretty new on the scene.

I knew I needed to take things into my own hands. So, I packaged up a no-brainer retainer service and started directly pitching clients and leveraging referrals.

And it worked.

In less than 12 months, I grew my business from 3 clients to over 27. I was not only hitting $10,000+ months, but I was working with DREAM clients.

I discovered that, on average, clients would stick with me for around 12 months, so my income was easy to predict. When a spot opened up, I would reach out to my referral pool or pitch more dream clients, and, like clockwork, I'd fill the spot within 30 days.

And the cherry on top?

Because I had a really simple process for managing my client work, I was able to complete all of my work in just 3 days each week – until I hired an assistant who fulfilled most of the work for me. This freed up space for life outside of work. At the same time, I studied primary teaching, enjoyed a work-free trip to Hawaii, and spent lots of quality time with my fam.

Clients and business friends would ask me how I was able to grow and manage my business while delivering a great client experience and having a life!

My journey inspired the creation of The VA Hub.

Now, I have the absolute honour of being a full-time primary school teacher, serving a small handful of dream VA clients and helping other B2B service providers create predictable VA businesses in a way that feels fun and light for them.
